Changes of paradigm

The Intervalic Theory is a musical theory that implies a change of paradigm in Music. The difficulties that arise from a process of this kind result from the fact that the entire mental structure is renewed, as is the global context of relationships, the point of view from which we observe and analyze reality.

(For example, the concept of "mass" in the theory of relativity is inconceivable within Newton's  perspective and mechanics. To understand it, it is necessary to have understood the new principles postulated by the theory of relativity. The step forward from the Newton mass to the Einstein mass is not just a mere change of concept but in fact implies a global change in thought. We have observed that major difficulties arise in understanding a new paradigm since usually the same terms of old theory are used but with a different meaning, as we have just seen in the example of "mass". We could suppose that the introduction of new words would solve this problem, but sadly experience has proved us wrong).

The way in which a person understands a new paradigm is usually the same as the way in which the whole picture of a zigzag puzzle appears to us while we are doing it. When only a few pieces are in place we do not have a vision of it as a whole, but suddenly, once we have allocated a
